#4We picked 1 card to invest in and put away. It is a beautiful card, and Jr could have been one of the greats....... At one time, the card hovered around $100.Comment -

#6I still think I have Jeter's rookie card from when I was a kid. Jeter, Glavine, Todd Helton....Bonds and McGwires first year Topps cards too. Some others I can't think of right now....Frank Thomas's I think. I have no idea what they are worth but I do know I didn't spend more than $400-$500 tops on baseball cards in my lifetime.Comment -

#9Griffey Jr Upper Deck was THE card to have pretty much from 1989-1999. Then companies started with the jersey/autograph inserts that are machine-stamped short prints....this basically rendered Griffey's card mundane. It also didnt help that his 2nd half of his career sucked.Comment -

#10If some grade 10 then you might get Ok money back.
Anything late 80's to early 90's is super junk. That's when I collected as a kid unfortunately.Comment -

#13Thats true it was in overprint but shit man Beckett hyped it up. This is pre-internet and pre-machine-stamped cards, so little teenies like myself werent concerned with anything but having our mitts on it.Comment -

#14Ya, I thought I was a real boy genius for awhile...... Brings back a lot of fun memories though. I was away at school and I would walk to the baseball card shop every day and buy one $5 wax pack searching for only that card...... Would call dad all excited when I found one.Comment -

Demand died then everyone saw how common the card was and then you are left with shit on a stick.
Grading is the only hope for those cards.Comment -

#19K13 is right your best shot is to spend money to get them graded. A PSA 10 bringing about $270 rangeComment -

#24My pops bought us all "logs" of baseball cards every year to hold onto.
I've got a box full of unopened bricks of cards from 1990-2005
No clue if they are worth anything, here's a pic I took awhile ago

#29So what is that griffey card actually worth right now?
I sold 10 of them at once for $500. Had to be 20 years ago maybe.
I believe the card was worth 75-80 when I sold them.Comment -

#34Send them all in to get graded by PSA..
Although they were MASS produced back in the days, the printing quality was mostly shitty.. Some rare ones were printed perfectly and those can fetch you a few penny, just look through all of them, make sure all 4 corners are sharp, the edges don't show any white/blemishes/ no blemishes on the surface and the centering is perfect. Send them in and you might get some few pennies out of itComment -
