What a really tuff start being suspended and coming from player to coach.
They started 10 - 21, but are now 43 - 24.
Thoughts?

Just goes to show that sometimes you have to yell and swear to get people motivated.

Kidd has always been soft spoken and come off as not real intelligent.
But, I must give the guy some credit. His Team could have given up and tanked it to get him fired.
Apparently, he did win them over.

They have one of the most talented rosters in the East and have a marginal record against shit teams in that conference.
They'll probably lose to the Bulls in the playoffs again. You really going to back Kidd against Tibbs if that matchup happens?

LOL ! yeah OKAY buddy. Last year: they didn't have PP34. Big Ticket. AK47. Alan Anderson. Shaun Livingston or Marcus Thornton. Thats a squad WITHIN a squad ! Are you even SERIOUS ?!
ADDED TO THE FACT: Jason Kidd TODAY is a better point guard than Raymond Felton + Pablo Prigioni.........COMBINED
And when you have a coach that can PHYSICALLY jump on the court with you and run plays with you...
Everyone else in the EAST is in BIG trouble

I'll give Kidd 100% credit. I thought he was going to stink up the place after that rough start.

He fired frank and turned the team around...he deserves credit but won't get any. If the refs allow it..they will knock off Miami..

Bulls have great defense but NO offense to last in a 7 game series.
Nets have the experience. toughness and a deep bench that can produce!

Someone didn't watch those 2 play each other in last year's playoff matchup.
Made a ton on the bulls last year vs. the Nets, especially the +250 in that game 7.
Will be doing the same thing again this year if they matchup again.
As for Kidd, he has had the same kind of year Don Mattingly had last year.
Both of them were one loss or 24 hours from getting fired early in the season.
Mattingly caught a miracle, so did Kidd.
But unlike MAttingly, Kidd has potential to be a good head coach.
Nets are old, and not a threat in the playoffs.
Kidd did a great job though.
First round exit for them in all likelihood.

Chicago was a different team last year. And the nets are a TOTALLY different team this year. They have another team within the team now. Bye bye money!

If you remember Noah, Belinelli and Robinson were the ones that carried the Bulls in that series. 2 of those guys aren't on this team. Unless you think DJ Augustin is gonna do what Robinson and Belinelli did offensively I would advise against betting against the Nets, if they met up.

The nets to me are basically the favorite to win the east. Its a toss up between indy, miami and them though. The only reason the odds do not reflect this is because nobody believes in them

I win over 1500 dollars if they win it all. I like the thunder though and I got a terrible number with close to half my investment down at only +1350 so this is in no way a smart bet. I will be the number one fan of the magic if it happens though I'll tell you that much

Someone didn't watch KG and PP get worked by a weak Knicks team last year in the playoffs.
Those guys are done.
Just role players.
Nets will lose first round if they play the bulls.

Jury still out for me. That team is so old and there might be 3 future coaches on it who could pull everyone together with or without kidd. Lets see what loose-lips Deron says after the season.
Then again, all new teams need time to gel, nevermind new coach. If Brook Lopez wasnt out for the year, add 4 wins at least?

Jury is definitely still out.
I basically just see a team that has a ton of talent and had a HORRIBLE start, and now are reverting to their mean. With that roster you should see some success.

Not sure why them being role players is a bad thing. They've proven for the last month plus they can win w/o Garnett. So if they can get 15-20 good minutes a night from him(and AK as well), that'll be big bonus for them. As for Pierce, he's looked pretty good this year for somebody who is "done".

The Pacers are my pick out of the east. The Heat didn't dominate last year and Wade is no better off. The Spurs were the better team and were one bad call away in game six. The Nets can't win the east without Lopez IMO. They can't run guys outta the gym playing small and cant handle Pacers front line. The Pacers are crying now but playoffs have to bring them back together.
