very good point Jaker ...hey, I was reading your post about working from home and sitting on those endless conf calls. It reminded me of a good all times when I used to do the exact same thing. Not very many people can have the same setup for work - enjoy it!

No doubt rocker. I have an ideal set up. Every couple of years I look around to see what the job market looks like. I could get paid a little more with a bigger base or benefit package, but the quality of life issue is huge. There aren't many companies who would be willing to give me the freedom I've become accustomed to. 10k a year more doesn't replace being able to cut out on a Wednesday and hit the beach or go out fishing.

So, every Mon, Wed and Fri I'd get up at 4AM...do most of my work until 8AM, hit the GYM for an hour and then spend the rest of the day surfing and answering emails on my blackberry.
those were truly one of the best carefree years of my young adult life

Slinhbox gets er' done so no need and only really need to watch the last 5 minutes really. Used to be a ritual though, Thursday early departure and Friday no show, at the Sports Depot.
