#89Originally posted by NYSportsGuy210Nah Eli has that "magic". It's that Manning spunk. Archie is truly a god send to the NFL.

Oh yea and fcuk Kevin Boss too. You cave him out in Oakland. We got the second coming of Mark Bavaro at TE with this Ballard kid. What a pair hands on this guy.

Bring on Jim Harbaugh and corn hole SF 69er squad next week. Our front four will expose their fraud QB and take it 23-13 next week in their building.
Yes that is quite a pair of hands on Ballard. You wish your girl dropped her drawers as much as he drops the football.Comment

#101The Giants came out flat today and Eli's stat sheet sucked. But did he really play bad?

Hakeem Nicks dropped an easy touchdown. He was 5 yards past the defender and Eli put the ball right there and he dropped it.
Nicks dropped about 2-3 other balls today in one of his worst games as a pro
Cruz dropped 2 balls that came to my head
Eli had a deflected pass that should have been a catch that was intercepted by Atogwe
Manningham ran the wrong route in the end zone, result ---> INT for Eli
Mario Manningham sucks. The guy runs wrong routes all the time, sloppy routes, drops too many balls. Does that effect his stats?
TD pass called back to the 1 yard line
The blocking wasn't very good today either.

So when ESPN runs through the highlights of course Eli gets the blame but he did what he was supposed to do and his receivers played awful games with Manningham, Nicks, and Cruz all making big mistakes and playing sloppy. Eli did what he was supposed to do. If his receivers did what they were supposed to do maybe instead of 0TD and 3INT he would have had 2 or 3 TD and 0 or 1 INT and a different game.

That's the point when the QB plays well but the guys around him suck the QB is still tainted with crappy stats. Eli played way way way better than his stats today.Comment

#103Actually it doesn't. Giants receivers have led the league in dropped balls. Also tipped passes that get intercepted.Originally posted by dlunc3thats all well and good... but why did he get credit when playing so well last week?? noone mentioned his first pass of the game that shoulda been a pick6 that dallas dropped... or how bout when asante dropped the pick in the sb that woulda won the game?

this works both ways, and all comes out in the wash...

In all fairness it's a complicated offense. Mario Manningham ran the wrong route and it was intercepted. That doesn't effect his stats at all but it's a pick for Eli. Since we were lucky to have 1 intelligent guy calling the game he pointed it out but people that didn't watch the game will think he played awful.

Every QB has dropped interceptions, even Tom Brady. Now you want to count those too?

The Giants also throw the ball downfield much more than other teams and as of last week Eli led the league in 20+ yard completions. He doesn't inflate his stats with all of these screen passes. I'd argue the giants need a RB who can catch to give him some cheap screen yards and mix things up. Instead he's throwing downfield all game.Comment
