Kind of surprising. Hasn't he gone like 20 years without eating a cheeseburger?

You would think he would have more self-control.

When I lived in Vegas my wife worked as a Pit Clerk at Mandalay Bay when it opened, then moved over to New York New York...He's a piker compared to guys like Jordan, Barkley, Antoine Walker, Charles Oakley, and Morris Peterson. Those dudes used to roll in and open markers for $500k and up ...and when they lost...they lost big time

You can beat Blackjack. One of the easiest games to beat in a casino.

yeah 40k seems like nothing if it's a once-in-a-while thing. how many of jordan's gambling buddies have wound up completely broke?

Tough crowd. Dude has proven he is a great guy and now it comes out that he gambles at least once in awhile. And a bunch of degenerate stiffs that post everyday on a forum and think gambling is the best thing in life rip him for it. Guys, he's played in the league for 18 years, I think he has enough money that he can do whatever he wants and it isn't going to hurt him. He took a 50% pay cut to win a title last year.
I figured all you guys would be happy that he's got a little gamble in him.

One of a million athletes losing a measly 40k gambling.
Allen can wipe his ass with 40k.

good friend of mine was a dealer at the time...he did the private vip rooms and stuff....would deal to affleck, toine, tons of other celebs and athletes...his dad was a pitboss....and would always tell us how much toine was up there and losing....guy would always say "that kids gonna be dead broke soon"....guy had the sickness
Played 5-10 NL one night back in the day with him. He sat with 20k. Whole table was slobbering at him cuz he played poker so bad. He had no clue.
Everyone was picking him off left and right.
I sat n waited for 4 hours and never got in a big hand with him.
My buddy at the table was the only one to lose a substantial hand to him. Got 2 outed on the river when they were already all-in for a 12k pot lol.

He ended up losing that 20k and then dumped 300k in the blackjack pit after.
