Sad prediction: gay player michael sam will go undrafted

He was listed around 15th best at the defensive end spot before coming out. That's around 4th to 6th rd but there are only 7 rds in the draft. Too much downside and too big a risk to splinter a locker room.

I am really sad to predict this but i believe he will now go undrafted. Good luck with a lawsuit because 32 teams will all point at each other and say someone else could have drafted him. It's like an employer who gives 100 reasons why they did not choose a particular job candidate. Nfl teams will say he was too short, too light, too slow, what have you.

Bobby that is interesting but 32 nfl teams dont give two shits about tagliabue's and goodell's loved ones being gay. Those 32 teams only care about the locker rooms which is why no nfl, nba, nhl, nor mlb, active player, has ever come out. Jason collins came out after the season.

Suire, same as an undersized TE could move to WR, undersized FS to CB..............but the number being thrown out is 15 best at the DE position. Throw that number out the window. He most likely won't be an NFL DE.

He is automatically off the board for half the owners already because he's a flame, then any team with a winning record also, because there is no need to stir any feathers for no reason. Bellichek loves taking these kind of players though.

Not sure why it's so sad, but there's a good chance he doesn't get drafted regardless of sexual orientation. He's projected 4th-6th round as is, so not uncommon that he'd miss. Factor in that he played DE in college but only weighs 256, so now you're drafting a guy who's probably going to be a situational player, like a specialty pass rushing LB. Maybe I'm cynical, but the announcement is suspicious to me and maybe him knowing that he's a risk not to be drafted. Same as Jason Collins making his announcement when he did.
