How long have you been gambling for?

My first memories of gambling was on a cruise ship, I was 12 and used my arcade money to play slots. They conveniently put the arcade right beside the casino...

When I hit 3 double bars it paid 5$ on 25 cent investment. I was so scared people were walking by I just pretended nothing ever happened. Scooped my winnings and played arcade games for 2 hours

Im 24 now so I guess you could say half my life i've been gambling..

I just stopped randomly picking games. Started looking up stats.

Gambling gets easier the more selective you are, that's for sure.

Since the Seahawks-Steelers Super Bowl. My friend got me involved in a local poker tournament that weekend and I don't really care for poker, but he put me on a tutorial on what was then Bodog. While we were there, he was showing me bets he made tor the playoffs. Hooked and fukked since then.

Let's see pitching baseball cards against a wall around ten. Once I realized they were worthless with the worn/nicked edges I devised a different game. Trying to hit home plate from the pitchers mound. Practiced for a week or so and then introduced it to my fellow gamblers. Cleaned the whole school out. (First Score) Hooked ever since. All about the next great angle. lol.

Pitching nickles and dimes shortly thereafter and the rest should be in a book.

About 50 years or so, well over a Mill, and still standing (barely). GL Men!!

Damn u really are older than me! I even feel a little younger after that post, awesome... (I swear im the oldest 35 alive, lol).

by time bills played in their 1st Super Bowl I was booking some action from kids at school, 7th or 8th grade prob.. sold fake Brett hull autographs to get the bankroll to start, lol..

Senior prom a group of us went to Atlantic City in a Limo.

The limo crashed on the Major Deegan Expwy.

They sent another and and we arrived at the Golden Nugget.

I swear I couldn't lose a bet at black jack..In less than 2 hours had 2 trays of black chips (100's)

My last bet before leaving I tried to throw $500 dollars away!

I never bet roulette in my life.....

I put $500 hundred on the table and tried to bet it all on 14 red (Pete Rose)

The max was $200!!

Sure enough It landed 14 red!!

My crowd went nuts!
They yelled PETE ROSE!!

I was not even old enough to be in the place!

I was 17 years old..

Ended up buying a few trotters with a friend who trained at Yonkers shortly afterwards...

I was filling out parlay tickets with my dad when I was 9; I had SMU +63 vs houston.

Flipped and scaled baseball cards first. That is probably what started it all . I was about 10 or 11.

I used to tag along on my fathers bets now and then for a dime or a quarter after that . That was a decent amount back then. My allowance was 50 cents a week . I was 12 I think. Had my 1st local at 15 . A friend and I learned what an "if" bet was and the local was probably in his 20s and dumb. Used to get the Cubs results from their day game from Warner Wolf on the 6 o'clock news if they were home, ( no lights) and always played whoever won in an if win bet for 10 bucks, split between me and my friend, and put it back on Bob Gibson or some high odds team. We probably made 100 bucks that summer between us .We only did it one or two out of 4 home games . Usually when Gibson, Koufax, etc. was also pitching in the if game. We never got greedy and never got caught.

I did watch my dad lose constantly with his guy over time and learned a ton from that. He always had the bad beat. Kubek gets hit in the throat, he had the Yankees. Maz's home run beat him he told me. Namath beat him against the Colts , I watched that, and he said he bet his paycheck on Native Dancer the only time he lost in 22 starts.
Guess you could say I learned what NOT to do which taught me to look for things others might not see.

Especially in horse racing.

The rest as they say, is history.
