I am curious why such a crappy team as the Leafs were road faves. I know Jackets suck right now too, but still, they were at home.

Only reason i could see is all the injuries the jackets had. Anisimov, Letestu, Wisniewski, Horton, Dubinski and the biggest of all Bobrovski. So many injuries and with the backup tender in, had to go with the leafs

Agree totally that Leafs was the right call. I didn't realize Jackets were so riddled with injuries. The line makes a bit more sense now.

Sens as a +160 road dog seems to have some value. Bruins have not been overwhelming at home.

Florida as a home dog, like as well. Maybe Canes. They truly suck, but Yotes on the road are not so hot.

An NCAA football play totally screwed up my nhl bets.
I had an IF Win bet with Sharks -1 and then TB ML with a football play that lost

I did a small play on Isles +1.5 and it lost.
So I break even again in nhl.
Would have made quite a bit had I not screwed things up with the football play in there.

The new week starts Monday btw.
I played Habs ML and of course lost.
That makes me 0-3 so far betting them.
Only other team I've lost with is Columbus (0-2).
I have only bet about 7 teams so far on sides though, with Lightning going 3-0.

Habs was a tough call. They just got back from a Western road swing, and teams typically don't play well the first game back after a long road swing. Flames are young and hungry. They are not fun to play at all. Personally, I think they are the most underrated team in the league.

Good to know...thanks for the insight guys...for someone that doesn't watch a lot of hockey, I tend to get caught up in how a team like Calgary has performed in recent history...and how a team like LA Kings who were the champs last year but not getting going yet...
I will celebrate when I get a Montreal win.

It occurred to me that maybe Lundqvist didn't play last night because it was against a team that has consistently spanked him at home over the last few seasons. I think it was 2-7 before last night, and I assume he was in net for most of those. They just decided to try something new.
