In all 3 scenarios taking the TO was the right call..

If they go for it on 4th and connect they are already in FG range, and they still had TO so it wouldn't have mattered. They are still able to take a shot or two to get even closer before booting the FG..

If they boot it there and make it then you preserved time for Stafford...

If they miss, you win...

So even any case should've taken the TO.. to think you were going to give them more time by taking that TO is irrelevant because they were going to be in FG range anyway if they completed that and got the fresh set of downs..

If they make the 4th/7....time doesn't matter because Tucker is making a 45-50 yarder in a dome situation nearly every time. You absolutely have to call the timeout so your QB doesn't go into full Romo mode w/:38 left. I wanted to see them drive down to the 30 to laugh at them for signing Akers as he shanked one.
