How old are you kid? Fight was great, no doubt. But to say the greatest boxing matches won't hold a candle to this fight is a blasphemy.

seriously. not taking anything away from Hunt or Silva but Kenny Florian is a fkn idiot. screaming " o my god! the best heavyweight fight you'll ever witness, by far the fight of the year!!!!" over an over again.

if you watch that fight with the sound off its basically like watching those old videos "bum fights". sloppy as hell.

you're forgetting one thing junker...when these guys hit you on a face, 99.9% of the people would drop unconscious on the ground - bums don't fukking fight like that...yeah it didn't look pretty, but you gotta give these two fighters and their chins some major props...to stand like that and take this kind of a punishment for 5 rounds is truly remarkable

heavyweights hit on a completely different level than middleweights or lightweights...plus both fighters were going at it and it wasn't one guy doing all the damage like in Velasquez vs Dos Santos fight.

this fight could easily be put in fight of the year category imo.

ye it may well be Anik and Florian that are making me think it was worse then it actually was! They are so robotic at times that it is almost cringeworthy. At least with Rogan you know that he is legitimately jizzing over the slightest thing! But Florian just randomly comes out with "this fight is insane Jon", "wow this is insane" like seconds after Hunt has just leaned forward with his head and let Bigfoot punch him!

But then I did rewatch it with-out sound and it was still pretty bad - the first 2 or 3 rounds were pretty standard and then in round 4 and 5 it was quite exciting but that was just because they were walking in slow motion in to each-other's punches! One moment that sticks out was in 4th round I think (maybe 3rd) were Bigfoot just backed up against the cage and Hunt attempted a takedown and just pulled Bigfoot's leg up quite half-heartedly, and bigfoot just pretty much gave it him and let Hunt have another go instead of just pushing him off! yes they should be commended for their durability, and if Bigfoot really did have a bad back injury then that may explain why he looked like total dogshit, but for me it wasnt the kind of fight I really find that entertaining

Decent fight....nothing great. But good effort put in by both.

Bigfoot Silva clearly won rounds 1 and 2. The potbelly blonde haired guey won rounds 3 and 5. Round 4 - the potbelly troll looking guy was winning the first half of the round but then Big Foot was clearly annihilating him the second half of that round.

I thought the ref was gonna call a stoppage towards the end of round 4 as Silva was pummeling this guy and crushing his head in.

being really good at taking damage and not falling down like a tree is a skill just like being good at submitting someone by Kamura imo...you don't see a submission last 5 rounds...so as far as entertainment goes, I would take this fight over a quick KO or submission on any given day.
