Personally I think Saints just as fraudulent as panthers in the long run...neither SB contender...saints too soft, panthers no offense, and Brees has 1 turnover last night? And for what its worth his arm was moving forward so if the lineman hadn't caught it it would have hit the ground and been incomplete(what happens in most cases). I think last night is a prime example of brees not turning it over. He had the worst environment ever and average less than 2 seconds to throw and didn't throw a pick....4 picks in his last 9 games...I'm just looking for you to tell me either A. Why/how Carolina can score 24-30 points if they aren't giftwrapped in TOs...or B. Why Carolina's D can hold Brees below 24 considering what happened last night and the unlikelihood of a repeat...game in carolina might be a diff outlook but there is literally no way Saints lose this game at home...27-17

Now that Michael Crabtree is back the 49ers are going to roll! Watch them crush Seattle next week.

I actually worry more about Carolina then Seattle come playoff time.

no idea where i get the crazy idea that panthers can score 24+ on this team..993 total yards of offense vs them last year..tell me aints d has improved all ya want cause they have some, schematically especially but they still not some ultra talented group..

IMO, Saints were kind of an illusion all year long. First off, everyone was giving way too much kudos to Rob Ryan and the defense. I don't care how great of a D-Coordinator you are, you don't go from being one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL, to being a top 5 defense in less than a year. It just doesn't happen. By the end of the year, everything will average out and they will be a middle of the pack defense statistically. Should be a great game on Sunday.

My main problem with the Saints is they don't do the two things that any successful NFL team has to do. Run the football. And stop the run. You can get away with not running the football when you have Brees, but at some point in a big game you have to run the ball. And yes they did stop Lynch yesterday, but they pretty much sacrificed stopping the run for getting torched in the secondary.

Panthers have the make up of a great football team. Great defense, great running game, they can control the clock, they don't turn the ball over, etc. My only complaint with the Panthers is I think they are still weak in the back end. Unlike the Seahawks, I think Brees will be able to take advantage of that Panthers secondary.

Don't think you know what that word means. Ignorance doesn't apply here, it's my opinion that he isn't good enough to lead a team all the way. Nothing to do with black. My favorite QB of all-time is black. Get at me in a couple years when they lose big names to FA and don't have a ring.

I just don't get where we have the preconception that it takes a top defense to stop carolina. Carolina has not torched anyone with a semblance of a D...7 vs seattle, 6 off a bye in AZ, 20 in miami, 10 in sanfran...those are the best 4 Ds they've played...Even if you say Saints are 10 points worse than those teams defensively (overstatement), you still got Carolina at ~20 points...agree that saints can't run but they have good screen play and good TE play to offset in the short yard situations. I'd argue you prolly don't want to run much on carolina either way. I'm telling you this could be a play of the year...Carolina is going to be getting the money in NO...think about the absurdity of that alone...

Seahawks exposed the Saints yesterday. Lets forget the fact that they can't win on the road in cold weather. If you take away Graham and Sproles/Pierre Thomas, you've pretty much shut down their entire offense. Brees is getting next to nothing out of their WR's. Colston is getting old, he's definitely lost a step. Lance Moore hasn't been healthy, and Kenny Stills is still a rookie.

Hard to ever bet against Brees on primetime in the dome, but I think they got a lot working against them for this game. Panthers will be physical with them. Cam should run wild on the turf. Don't foget Saints are pretty much down 2 days of prep because they didn't fly out of Seattle until Tuesday morning because of airplane trouble.

If Rodgers were to stay healthy, I think the Packers are a bigger threat in the NFC than the Saints. Rodgers can play in any weather, and they have a running game.

The referee who failed to call the molestation of Crabtree in the end zone. Niners should be 6-0 in Super Bowls.

I know that p!ssed me off at the time, I had money on SF. But to be fair the Ravens did alot better then most expected. And the Niners had to pull a rabbit out of the hat to even make that a game.

Really you just never know we could have a bad call again this year that knocks a favourite out early in the playoffs.

Seattle is great at home, but don't forget the Superbowl is in New York. Seattle has been quite pedestrian on the road.

Seattle should get to the SB easy since they aren't going to have to face TB or HOU again, those powerhouse teams.

In the SB, not a home game, is a different story. They are getting way too much credit when they are not a great road team.

Panthers could win there with their defense.

They could....but what chance would you actually give them? 20% maybe? Most likely, Seattle is going to the SB. I like Cam and the Panthers, but there is a reason why Seattle is undefeated at home with Russell Wilson.

I understand they will be at least TD favorites. But we haven't seen the Seahawks handle the big favorite role in the playoffs yet. The NFL has a way of making things more unexpected than they seem.

id make sea -4.5 against panthers if it came to that...pretty sure that translates to much better than 20%.. that just me tho..

The Seabags do not want to see the Niners in the playoffs. Kapaernick has already proven he can win on the road like he did in Atlanta last year.

Meanwhile Peyton gets to play 1 game at home, probably vs. the crappy chiefs or colts, then gets the AFC title game at home?

If he doesn't make it to the Super Bowl he truly does suck.
