Mizzou and A&M were in the Big 12 from 96-11. Mizzou was in a bowl game for 10 of those seasons including the last 7. A&M was in a bowl game in 11 of those seasons.

Having multiple 10 win seasons when the conference was near the top in the country does not sound like sucking the majority of the time.
