I only bet $20 per unit. My gambling money is just from disposable income; I only bet what I can afford to lose, which, with a family of six, isn't always a lot. But I've cashed out for a little over $2,000 in the last six months or so and have a decent balance in my account right now, which has come in handy for spending money with the wife and kids.

If someone had tailed me for $100 per unit, that's almost $14,500 since last fall. I just don't have the kind of extra money to bet $100 per unit given the sheer volume of my picks. With over 2,800 plays made in the last 14 months or so, that's $56,000 -- scary to think about having that much in play.

Maybe someday I'll up my unit size and be more selective with my picks. For now, I just have fun and I love the action more than anything else. This is only the start of my fifth full year of gambling overall.
