2013-14 NBA scheduling oddities worth noting

The Knicks host only two opponents that are playing in the second of back-to-back road games all season. The Clippers get 13 and the Blazers get a league-high 14.


The Suns, Magic and Lakers have to play 11 back-to-back road games this season. The Hawks have to play only two.


The LA Clippers get 25 games this season when they are rested and their opponent is not. In recent history, no team has ever had more than 21 rest vs no rest games. The Bobcats play only five games this season when they are rested vs an unrested foe. The Wizards have only six and the Heat and Lakers have only seven.


The 76ers are the only team in the league this season that is not scheduled to play 4-games-in-5-days.


The Nuggets are the only team in the league that gets ten opponents playing in at least their fourth straight road game. The league average is 4.6 this season and the Cavs get only one such opponent.

Not sure what it is now, but OU wins for the Nuggets' season wins was at 47. The OU wins for the Clippers' season wins was at 56 at that time, too. Good luck.

All I know is the top 4 teams in the East will be Chicago, Miami, Brooklyn and Indiana. Knicks will probably finish 47-48 wins and be 6th best.

The clipps are the new nba poster team for adam silver and Shaw most likely will slow down the nuggets up tempo game, so it won't have the same affect as Karls nuggets teams.
