I live in the DR and this story is very plausible. Child support in the DR averages about $200 US per month, so it would be easy for him to get away with giving her $500-600 per month.

Not a surprise coming from Cano. This article sums up his play as well: Lazy, uninterested, lackluster- never liked him and have said it for years.

My one question for anyone who reads this article is- Can't this lady move to the US and fukk this guy for a shitload of money instead?

Cespedes makes Cano look good. He was in the DR coming from Cuba trying to get to the US. A guy I know in Santiago helped him with money as he had none then. He promised to pay it back. As soon as he signed his contract and was in the US that was the last the guy ever heard from him.
