I like Clemson -13.5 but feel I may be on the "square" side. Expected this line to jump up to -14.5 or so through the week but it hasn't budged. I know NC State has given Clemson problems in the past few years, but I don't think this NC State team is nearly as good as those previous teams. They are very young on offense - NC State's leading rusher/receiver are both true freshman. This will be their first "big" game and I don't think they handle the pressure very well, especially if they get down early. NC State starting QB Pete Thomas has currently thrown for 0 TD's and 3 picks, not what you want when your opponents have been La Tech and Richmond (who they were down 11 to and had to make a late drive to kick a fg for the win).

After the win over Georgia, Clemson knows that this is their year and along with their win against LSU last year they have finally proved that they can win the big game under the lights (something they have struggled with in the past). They know they must win the ACC and win big because if Oregon and Bama go undefeated (both very possible), they may be left out for Oregon. Overall, young NC State team, Clemson speed will overwhelm NC State, I look for Clemson to win by 20 here.

Line to me seems too good to be true though so I'm probably on the wrong side

Be careful with Clemson. They were very lucky to beat Georgia. These are the games that Clemson likes to screw up on the road. I wouldn't be surprised if they barely win with a TD or less.

good luck , i hope Clemson loses straight up so we can put to bed all this talk about possibly an ACC team playing for the National Title.

No fukkin way an ACC team should ever be considerd for the National Title. Not with the current format atleast.

The Pack will not score more than 24 points and it's more likely they score 17. Clemson will be up 21-7 at the half and they'll start running the ball early in the second half. I expect to see a final of 35-17

My thoughts from another thread:

Clemson won this game 62-48 last year AND that was with Mike Glennon at QB for the Wolfpack who is now in the NFL. The new replacement QB has 3 INT's and ZERO TD's in his first two starts, and those are both against SCRUB ass teams in Richmond and Louisiana Tech! On top of that, NC States leading rusher and receiver are both true freshman!

NC State was down double digits to the lowly Richmond program before coming back to barely squeek it out last week with their shaky QB and rookie skill players, if Clemson got to play Richmond it would have a final score of something like 50-10.

Don't overthink this, Clemson rolls.

yeah but its close. i usually take an over when i know its going to be very high scoring

these teams combined for 919 yards of offense and over 100 pts last year. clemson will never run the ball up 14, maybe up 28+, over backers need 14 first half pts by NCSU

That's a flawed thought. Texas A&M beat Bama last year but they lost to them this year. I can go on and on..

These teams didn't combine for 919 yards of offense last year; they combined for 1351 yards.

It's still tough to say if NC State is going to be a decent team this year or not. They beat a really bad LA Tech team and barely squeaked out a win vs Richmond...both games at home. I wouldn't go crazy on them playing the number 3 team in the country here. Good luck whatever you decide.
