Good luck, JJ. I've watched more socccer over the last year than I have in all the years prior. Shit isn't easy, mainly because it took me a long time to figure out WTF is going on.

The European league order still requires me to google shit.

One day, I hope to understand how teams are in the Champions League, and what league they came from, as easily as I know any American sports structure. That day wont be coming soon.

I think this NBC sports coverage will go along way into fixing this uniquely American problem.

Just gunna focus on English Premier League and Champions League......Also International matches as well with WC Qualifiers

Like to have a feel for all teams before I start throwing bets around and I'm pretty good with the EPL but NBC deal will make it awesome

To win Champions League:

AC Milan-70/1.....Love their attack led by Balotelli and El-Shaarawy who will give any team out there headaches.....Have a few other really nice pieces and a good all around team with a strong history

Dortmund- 19/1....Runners up last season and don't see why they don't have a shot to be back in position.....Lost Gotze but added Aubameyang as a striker to go along with Lewandowski....Guy is a beast that not many know about and had a hat trick their first league game a week ago

Man City- 17/1....Love all of the quality players that they added this off-season......They are deep everywhere and have as much overall talent as anyone IMO.....Have struggled in Europe play but they have a new coach with a new system and some new players

Obviously these are semi-longshots compared to the top few teams but I think atleast one of these 3 teams has a good chance to make a run and make things interesting

Long-shot odds so cant knock them, but no way Milan win, have made any acquisitions apart from donkey Silvestre. I actually wouldnt be surprised if PSV pull off the upset and knock them out in Qualifying.

Man City are too poor defensively, absolute shambles in recent matches against Milan and Arsenal. Joe Hart is not as reliable as he used to be, and they haven't signed a centre-back which is where they are weakest. Lescott is not a high-level player, Nastasic is still young, and Pellegrini has been playing Javi Garcia there who is hopeless in that position!

Dortmund at 19/1 isnt bad at all tho, they probably are over-estimating the loss of Goetze. Again defensively they dont convince me - Hummels and Subotic are erratic at times, and there are still question marks about Lewandowski's motivation and happiness and not being allowed to leave

One of the best things about the soccer leagues is the bottom 3 in the EPL for example are demoted to 2nd division and the top 3 move up. This is what the NBA needs to do; send some of those bottom dweller teams to D league.
