Mew York Mets owe Bobby Bonilla till 2035

Currently, the 6th highest paid Met.
He will be 72 years old, when he cashes his final paycheck(for over a million bucks), in 2035.

Bret Saberhagen has a bad contract as well, he's still cahing half a million a year from them.

Jason Bay is also on the books, plays for Seattle, currently. I can admit, not as shocking as the other two.

it's not a bad contract for bonilla, bay, or saberhagen. who cares about the mets stupidity since they offered the contracts to these players. they built that new field and are charging 10 times more for tickets than they did when these guys played. they should offer them a buyout for like 70%, but it doesn't matter as long as the masses want to attend games in person and get their wallets emptied.

It would be great if every player in sports got paid like this. Then we wouldnt have to listen to every former NBA and NFL player 3 years after they are retired, broke and begging for jobs on TV and selling their ass for napkins.

Not at all. They play 162 games, that is 10x more than NFL players. It's like comparing a school bus driver (9 mos of the year) to a city bus driver (12 mos). Yes they get paid alot to stand around, but when you look at what each owner brings in per appearance their salaries are right in line.

There is 18 min of total action in an MLB game. Take 5 min, come back and think about what you wrote. You compared baseball to football.

there's only about 10 minutes of action in an nfl game... the clock ticks away as everyone walks back to the huddle after a 4 second running or in bounds play and that clock keeps running. about 70 plays @.04 each comes to about 4.5 minutes per team per game. stop watch one sometime.

Baseball you can be massively out of shape and still be an all star. Football you're lining up and it's the equivalent to being hit by a fukking car every single play. You're not too sharp are you, kiddo?

The average lineman weighs what 300-310 lbs? Get real. They are all slobs also.
