While ill agree there isn't a player that will carry you're franchise for a decade, I think in a few years you will be able to look at this draft and find a lot of key pieces on several teams.

Im out right now so can't get into more detail.

On another note the sixers did great and have two nice first rounders for next year(hopefully wiggins)

also, next years draft will be the best in the last decade...

Wait till Julian Randle becomes a household name... 4-6 guys would be first overall in this draft... Although I'm personally very high on Anthony Bennett ...

    anyway have fun tonight boys

This draft was lacking at the top end. Everyone falls in love with those two top prospects that are so far ahead of everyone else, they consume every talking point leading up.

This draft had zero top end talent. Bennett is good, very good, but not #1 overall good, IMO.

That said, this draft was very deep. Hell, guys like CJ Leslie didn't even get drafted. Think about that for a second.

Like you said, this was the draft to fill key needs with role players that will be in the league for a while. There weren't any guys I'd call busts in this draft, a lot of very solid players. Even a guy like Shabazz, who I have considered a bust since I first saw him play, will absolutely spend years in the league.

If you had a draft spot between 5-20, you did very well, IMO.

His senior yr in high school, I couldn't count the amount of times I heard "if he was in this draft (2012) he would be the no. 1 pick, without question." You know, the same bullshit we are hearing about Wiggins? From respected opinions of coaches, all the way down to message board warriors.

Ive also seen him more than any prospect not named Solomon Hill, so I reference him often. The dude and his family is the playbook of gaming the system.

BTW, how awesome was it watching the parade of people going past Calipari table... as a UL fan, of course?

Shabazz has a scoring mentality he sounds white on the phone he probably dominated some soft ass competition in high school because he is garbage Lorenzo Brown will play more than him.

That is one thing the Sixers did right..getting those first rounders next year. I am still skeptical of their moves though.

The NBA needs to do away with the lottery system and give the #1 pick to the Hornets next season

Next year's draft will be stacked. The Kid already mentioned Randle, but there is Parker, Wiggins, Smart all 4 I think will be great players in the NBA. College hoops is going to great this year with all of this new talent coming in

If you guys are really jonesing for this shit (like myself, and presumably Lkid), go check out the FIBA u19 tournament that is going on now until July 7th.

Calipari doesn't let his players attend that, so you wont see those schmucks. However, the future of basketball is there. Hell, Coach K is using that team as a Duke recruitment tool.

Also, you get to see my boy, Aaron Gordon continue his world wide posterization tour. Pretty fun watching these kids absolutey destroy other countries, all in the name of American basketball greatness.

I get random links when the USA is playing. As soon as I get the next one, I'll try and link it. Mostly, I've only watched replays of it - but it's still good.

You can get the whole tournament for like $15 (12 euros - whatever the fukk that is in real money). Have to go to the website.

I'll go look around a bit more, we just decimated China.

China was streamed because it was China.

Only games that will be streamed offically are the quarters through finals.

Serbia is playing tough. Aaron Gordon is stuffing everything, including stats.

I really think so, and hope so. A lot of next season for me depends on how special he can be.

Seen him play a lot, and he's ridiculous. Dude was injured (leg injury) all of his senior season, and continued to rise up the rankings falling short of the Wiggins/Parker hype.

Really excited for college ball next year. A lot of powerhouse programs are going to be stacked. If this recruiting class lives up to half it's hype - the NBA might be getting a lot better soon.

I think its next years draft that is making this one seem weak

The games are being played on ESPNU right now.

Us v. Canada. Canada should have been the 2nd best team by a mile in this thing, but Wiggins couldn't be bothered to show up.
