I feel like the script writers for sports are getting better.

One of my favorite more recent stories was having that Louisville hoops guard Kevin Ware, pretend to break his leg with the bone sticking out.

and oh how coincidental that hey wouldn't you know it, Louisville goes on to win the National Championship and that kid is there to cut some net down.

Apricot is talking deeper here than the rest of you penetrates realize. Guey's running back and forth across a field and going nowhere isn't "real." The Lombardi trophy, the MVP's, the chase of 40/40, all hype. Fake BS to get you hooked to the programming - which is the advertisements that you mute, but usually *read* with the sound off. Or if you're especially daft, you may *enjoy* them. The "distraction" during the program to the people who matter - your owners - is actually the game that you've been convinced is the most real thing in the universe. You're a slave until you realize it isn't real. Personally, I think you're a slave even *after* that. It might be better to be aware of it, but who knows.
