Moreno Fvcked himself. 70mil + between Pujols, Hamilton, Weaver, and CJ Wilson and they decided not to pay Trout before the season.

I am not a genious, but I see a problem here.

Pretty embarrassing getting swept by Houston at home. Got to shake something up here.

                    i agree.

Previous to that they had won 10 of 13. Imagine if you pounded Astros all 4 of those games and kept doubling up.

The Angels need to loosen up, make the clubhouse fun. They all just need to relax and play like they have nothing to lose.

They are clearly too uptight right now. I think this must be a chemistry issue in the clubhouse.

They need a guy like Nick Swisher to lighten the mood.

They cant even communicate with Aybar and Pujols, Hamilton, and Trumbo are too serious.

The team isn't to blame fully on this expectation. Half of this is Moreno's fault. He should have seen the signs instead of offering those way overpaid contracts. Giving an aging Pujols 10 years at almost max is the most laughable contract I've seen in years. Hamilton isn't juicing anymore so no way he can produce those numbers from last year. Moreno spent irresponsibly and is paying for it.

Hamilton and Pujols should probably get moved down to 6 and 7 in the batting order.

                          i'd go

                          1. Aybar
                          2. Trout
                          3. Kendrick
                          4 Trumbo
                          5. Schuck
                          6. Pujols
                          7. Hamilton
                          8. Conger
                          9. Collaspo

Clearly the Angels need a new catcher and some bench depth for the outfield.

Scioscia has to go. Guy has squandered more talent than any coach in any sport in the last 10 years. Give him David Eckstein and Lenny Dyskstra and sure he might do something, but he is not winning with this line-up. Do him and everyone a favor and can his A.

If you're putting Howie Kendrick in the 3 hole, you have some serious issues.

Their hitting may come around, but their pitching stinks and it's compounded by their bad defense. Oakland and Texas aren't going anywhere either.

I meant they aren't going anywhere as in they're staying where they are in the standings.... they aren't going to be mediocre and let the Angels catch up with them by hurting themselves...not that they can't win

Clearly the Angels need a new catcher and some bench depth for the outfield.
Love your lineup. I would switch Trout and Kendrick though. Mike has shown he can be an RBI guy but also good obp, so he gets on for Trumbo.

What's with the line-up theory that
you should place your best hitter in the 2 hole...

Shuck should definitely be moved up... I understand some coaches believe in the idea of trying to create a second lead-off hitter through the ninth spot but when the rest of your lineup is struggling why have your one found gem in the lineup following all your weakest batters and get the least at-bats every night?

True but Trout needs to get as many AB's as possible. Aybar is actually a really good leadoff man.

I like Trout hitting 2nd b/c he can steal a bunch of bases.

Howie Kendrick is quietly having a pretty solid season.
