7 out of 30 teams, simple math, too bad American's are not that intelligent. Furthermore, look at the best players on the remaining teams. Where were the born? Exactly....

They play for America because you poor fuckss can't support a real hockey team
It's your national sport isn't it, nothing but an afterthought here yet your stars choose to play for American clubs

Canadian dollar is worth more than the US dollar. Stars play where they are paid. The league offices are in manhattan, yes, but its roots are in Toronro. Canadians do tremendous work in regards to hockey. This has nothing to do with Canada, it is tremendous.
That being said, many more in the NHL are Canadian born and bred but it would be ignorant to neglect other countries that harbor exquisite talent.
It's a crying shame Canadian teams can't perform. It would be great to see a cup hoisted in the north.

Yes, the population difference has nothing to do with the US having 23 teams and Canada having only 7. Your a bright one....

Nice to see a rational voice, I detest people getting over nationalistic/xenophobic. The problem is most of the Canadian teams don't properly rebuild because of the intense pressure to succeed every year. Edmonton finally did and they should be amazing in a couple years when all their #1 overalls become adults.

To further my above point, look at Calgary right now, or in 3-5 years when Sedins retire Vancouver will be atrocious.

Give it about 2-4 years, odds are it will happen. 1984-1993, 8 times a Canadian team won, last 20 years none, average them out and it's expected giving the # of teams in each country. Math always wins! My bet is on the Oilers, 2015-2016!

Oilers need leadership and competent upper management. The lines that have are studs on paper but I just don't see it happening unless they get veteran defense. Calgary terrible with zero leadership, Vancouver well we know that story, Toronto has a shot but need more offensive grit, Montreal is stagnant it seems, and Ottawa and Winnipeg need more scoring as well.
None of the teams are horrible besides Calgary. This years draft is the best sine 2003, here's to hoping someone can do something worth while.

Question to any Canadiens. If you are a huge Toronto fan and they get bounced in the first round like this year do you then root for whatever Canadien team is left? Is it Canada vs USA at that point? just wondering cause I think if it happened the other way around most people from USA would root for whoever to beat Canada.

Fellas. Leave Opie alone about the damn Dallas Stars. We Red Wings just sent one of our best front office men down there to straighten their silly asses out.
They will be fine. Jimmy Nill, Jim Lites and Curt Fraser learned how to win in Detroit. Dallas will learn to win.
The Detroit way.
Opie you fukk. Happy Memorial Day.

No,
Toronto fans hate Montreal and Ottawa and vice versa,
