I like both sports. It's a ridiculous argument to expect Mayweather who has trained all his life to be a boxer to be a top UFC fighter. If he was younger and trained for a few years, I most certainly think he could be a top UFC fighter. Could he get in the Octagon next month? Come on.

It's disrespectful to UFC to think a top boxer could make the transition over night the same way it's disrespectful to think the other way. Why not just enjoy both? Folks spend a lot of energy here trying to put boxing and Mayweather down. Love him or hate him, this guy is one of the best we've ever seen in the game. He talks shit but has backed it up on every occasion.

The problem with your argument is that when u are arguing with guys who think they invented MMA u will get nowhere. To think Floyd would lose in two minutes is hilarious. Floyd was also a decent wrestler in high school. Give him six months of training his wrestling defense and he would knock out most of the guys at his weight with those gloves and all that speed. These guys have amnesia when Tim Sylvia got destroyed by Ray Mercerr in ten seconds.

It's too different sports. Why not just respect both. If you can't respect the pure skill Mayweather has as a boxer than you're just ignorant or a hater. He undoubtedly the best boxer of all time. The guy's defense is unreal and his speed is something we've never seen before in the sport.

When do you speak for all people? It's funny to hear so many white men claim that boxing is dead because they see some white fighters in the octagon but only black/Hispanics in boxing??? I'd bet 90% the guys here saying boxing sucks, boring fight, boxing is dead are white... Ironically, most of them are very wrong too. If you do your research, last year boxing edged out MMA in most measures. Once UFC starts paying guys more money be ready to see blacks/hispanics take over that sport too.

Boxing and MMA are both incredible sports. I supported MMA back when there was 100 people at an event. I enjoy a no name boxing match at our local casino. When you criticize one you're also criticizing the other because many people feel both sports are too barbaric.

Yep. I remember standing up in the middle of the night here, had two alarms set so I wouldn't miss it. And I had to see that decision....
I remember the Schulz - Foreman fight too. Schulz (and I never even liked him and he never was a great boxer) really did a great job and should have absolutely won that fight a 100%.
