#40Astros will get swept again
Crazy how people say there is value backing the Disastros tonight. Tigers are not in a let down spot given how they lost the series to the Tribe and are now no longer in first place in their division. Even without Austin Jackson at the top of the order, the bats should be cracking and the Disastros will see plenty of K's as Anibal Sanchez faces the team with the most strikeouts in the majors. Norris might be the Disastros ace, but he is mediocre to bad on the road, throw the Tigers into a parlay or two, this should be a no doubter.Comment -

#42Pinny has Tigers -334 now. The ship has sailed on this one. Detroit probably wins but price has climbed too much. No real value on the Astros though. Basically, the books are going to make you either play the fav in their game or pass as they will continue set such high prices if you want to bet against Houston this year. But we all know the "sharps" love to back teams like the Astros and Marlins. Not sure how Detroit does not sweep this series with Sanchez, Fister, and Scherzer pitching. I'd set the O/U for Astros team total for the entire series at 5.5.
Now the Verlander/Darvish Matchup Thursday night is must see TV! That will be an interesting line.Comment -

#49I posted as soon as I saw it, and the bet was in your favor when I posted. It was the 2nd inning and the AAAstros had zero runs. You can check. The AAAstros didn't score until the third, after 8 PM.
Regardless, it was a lock.
But I highly doubt you'd ever agree to a bet based on the lines you post. You must realize they're way off. Verlander -450? A team over/under 5.5 for 3 games?[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

LOL, you thought Verlander would be -350 against the worst team in baseball against the worst pitcher in baseball at home? Verlander was almost -300 Saturday night against Cleveland. I am certain the line would be way closer to -450 than -350. Sanchez was -334 tonight at Pinnacle and Houston is throwing their "ace" tonight. Sanchez is barely better than average pitcher. Just some basic common sense should enable you to arrive at a line higher than -400+. The Astros could not even scratch out a run against him in their little league ball park. Yeah, I get it...if he faces them 100 times, the Astros will eventually win some of those games. But -350 is way to low a line. The Astros are historically bad. It's honestly a minor league level club.
Let me guess, you bet the Astros and Marlins every night?Comment -

#51And let me ask you another question then....what would the line be tonight if Verlander was pitching instead of Sanchez?Comment -

#52No, I rarely bet the AAAstros and Marlins actually.
But I know a bad line when I see it, and -450 is way off, and so is over/under 5.5 runs.
Tigers closed tonight at -305 at Pinnacle.
And Verlander was not close to -300 Sunday night at Pinnacle. Maybe at a high vig book.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#53On Saturday night, Detroit opened at -214 and closed at -245. Nowhere near -300.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#54okay...my bad on the Sat night line. My memory is getting weaker as I get older.
But I will say okay, -450 perhaps high...but -400 seems about right. Not like we have not seen -400 in mlb before. If any team is going to have a -400 price tag on them this year, they are probably going to be facing Houston. Will be interesting to see what Darvish will be priced against Houston when he faces them in Arlington. I could see Kershaw being priced that high if he faced them but HOU does not face LAD this year.Comment -
