    Question on arbing
I'm a new bookie at the moment and I'm trying to figure out how to arb this.

I gave out LAL+500 SAS-800 series bet and i have $500 worth of action on both sides.

    Basically i have LAL +500, $500 to win $2500
    SAS -900, $4500 to win $500

if san antonio wins, i get $0. but if the lakers win, i get $2000.

how will I arb this (i profit regardless of which side wins) with 5dimes if their lines are at LAL+660 SAS-840?

        It doesn't matter.
The math is simply deviding the potential winings on one selection with the odds of the opposite one, so with -1600 it should be 2000/1.0625=$1882 back.

          Speaking of math: $2000 x 1.0625 = $125

Should Lakers win, he gets $2000 from the action but also loses $2000 on the hedge. I don't think it's worth hedging... maybe if Lakers can steal the next one in SA.
