Nice POD on the Penguins. Series should be 3-0 and I believe the Pens will be fired up to make up for last game's horrid collapse. I layed a few more hundred on it than you, more than I should have.

Now where is fitguy when you need him to explain about trolls? Guys, please don't feed the troll. Obviously he is butt hurt that he made many mistakes in keeping track of the bets yesterday. Maybe he's an accountant wannabe, maybe his hobby is keeping records, maybe he has a numbers fetish, I don't know.

In any case, he still hasn't acknowledged he made a mistake and that his lack of knowledge about bets i.e. hedge bets, series bets is showing. No need to compensate afterward with a false show of bravado. So let's move along - nothing extraordinary as any good thread on SBR will have its detractors.

I've been following D2D thread for awhile now and you'd be a fool to think he's fixing any numbers since all of his bets are posted before the games. Good day, bad day, good week, bad week, doesn't matter...think long haul guys, long haul. Just my 2 cents.

D2D appreciate your great work, winning is great but losing is tough but must be taken in your stride as here are many many more winning days than losing ones. The trolls will always come on a losing run , I would liken it to being a famous movie star and the trolls are the Papparazzi...good luck as always...I did enjoy your analogy of always going to the toilet when out to check the scores, I have the same issue and people are wondering if I have a drug habit....

Hey, I just wanted to say that folks like Avala7ch3 are a dime a dozen. They can be found in any forum and they thrive off of the anger and arguments they create. All these comments to and about him, including mine, only serve as fuel for him. If we all just ignore him and his ilk they will eventually get bored and move on.

D2D, haters are a symbol of your success. Think of Avala7ch3 as a trophy

Hopefully the Yankees brought their bats today, I have never seen a quality pitcher come out like Kuroda today and just throw batting practice, absolutely getting shelled, the ball has no movement coming out of his hand.

If he's not willing to fade you, he's clearly doesn't think you do that bad of a job. Variance sucks.

Things will turn back and run smoothly.

I'm not going to play tomorrow, watch you go on a wicked run then!

                Pitt down too. Just Comon.

And of course, Vernon Wells and Lyle Overbay....long time Blue Jays, who stunk it up their finals years here....go on to kill me every time I bet against the YANKEES, and now that I bet for the Yankees they cant get it done. Wells strikes out with a man on and the Overbay hits into a double play to end the inning leaving 2 men on.

Yanks just can't capitalize, they are hitting the ball pretty well. Hopefully Kuroda stays settled in, he got lucky that the second out in the 1st didn't also leave the yard.

I hadn't seen the numbers until they were talking about it during the game, but against Kuroda first time through the line-up hitters are batting .322 or something nuts, and the second time through like .092. And if he stays for a third go around its a bit under .200.

                        Hi D2D,

I just started to follow your picks from last week. Really appreciated your contribution here. Just have one question, I never bet online before( I bet with street guys), the problem is those guys they don't have the live bet and sometimes it seems very profitable on those live bets. I'm from Toronto, just wondering could you please tell me which site you bet online, I've heard that Pinnacle is good, just don't know how it works and is online betting secure?

Sorry for bothering you and really appreciate your advise.

GL and have a nice winning day!

Lol, 2nd time through and they are pretty dialed in. Kuroda is mad that I bet against him in his last start (of course he won that one)....I am not going to say 'lost cause', but yikes...he is getting torched.

Also, the Pens give up another short handed goal to get themselves down after 1 period....maybe Sid and the gang don't realize this, but they are the ones that are supposed to score on the PP!!

Online betting is extremely secure if you do it at the right places. D2D currently uses 5dimes I do believe, that and Pinnacle are likely your best options.

Yes, I agree.....5dimes and Pinnacle, definitely your best choices.

And LOL to Clairborne.....at this point I am going to honestly just try and laugh today off. If a win or two come through, that's great, but I am officially saying this is my worst day since starting SBR for many reasons.

Anyway, enjoy your night as well as you can everyone, and I will see you tomorrow.

Thanks bro, coz I saw on the policy that they require me to send them the copy of my CC and identification. If you guys are using 5dimes and pinnacle, I would probably go with these two as well. Thanks and GL tonight

                                                            At most books:
For ML bets 4.5 innings need to be complete if home team is winning, 5 innings if road team is leading.

For totals and RL bets, need to play a complete game or bet is no action.

There was one book that requires 9 innings for ML as well, but that is an anomaly.

                                                                  ____

The most effective approach toward a "relentlessly and stubbornly negative" poster is a good old-fashioned "shunning" of the offending party...

Meaning NO-one under ANY circumstances interacts directly with the pest. Do not even name it by name...

You may of course talk with the other adults on the board ABOUT the annoyance...but NEVER directly TO it. Ridiculing the troll in the third person can be great fun, and effective at the same time. Just never direct comments at it directly, nor even name it correctly (why do so when "it" or "the pathetic oxygen-waster" etc. work so much better?)

This way you starve them of what they crave the most: validation and attention. Getting into a word-slinging match with one of these idiots is like pouring gasoline on the fire you want to extinguish.

                                                                  ________

I was wondering what did you start with as your starting bankroll? I hope this isn't too personal to as just wanting to know as everyone's financial situations are different and I have heard mixed opinions about starting bankroll amounts.

I would have asked this question in a PM but I have not reached my 20 posts limit so I hope this is okay to ask here. I was wondering what did you start with as your starting bankroll? I hope this isn't too personal to as just wanting to know as everyone's financial situations are different and I have heard mixed opinions about starting bankroll amounts.
                                                                        Per D2D's original thread:

"I started January 8th with $300 and have a balance of $4968 in my account as of the end of the games tonight. This is over 530 bets in 31 days, and includes live in-game bets, betting the spread and some ML betting. There are a number of areas that I have found are major -EV and others (NBA) that have been very, very good to me. And yes....I don't mind sending one or two well established players here my complete 31 day history from my book if that helps to establish that I am not somebody recycled."

However, his case is very unique in that he was on the heater and has been hitting pretty consistently with the multiple play bets. I'll be the first to admit that approach didn't worked initially for me since I am one of the guys whose bankroll management has been less than stellar. So I'm learning to change my habits to keep the degen side of me more grounded. A large part of the posts lately ,i.e. last two days, have revolved around BR management since the toxic days can make or break you. Fitguy has had some good posts about a conservative approach to betting, BR management, etc.

Do us a favor though bud, if possible, please don't quote the cut n' paste picks since it clutters up the thread. GL with the betting.
