Call me whatever you like, but I feel like an idiot. I went to throw down my wager on the KC OVER and I bet the under...confirmed it and everything.....was going to put down $100....so had to bet $200 to make up the difference....it is going to cost me the juice, which I hate of course....oh well, chalk that up to not paying enough attention.

hey d2d what websites, if any, do you look at before making your picks?

Mostly ESPN for MLB and CBS for NHL and NFL.

For the ATP I have a small community that I am a part of, and we all exchange ideas. These are guys that I have known for years and a few of them are bigger tennis buffs than I (although I seem to have a hand up, when it comes to capping).

I also use this board....there are many good cappers out there and there are many people that are so poor they can actually help you.

The most important thing to remember, is this.....DO NOT do too much work, and try to take everything everyone else says with a grain of salt....if you are a smart guy, you will be able to CONVINCE yourself of anything....and that is NOT a good thing. I can convince myself of almost anything if I look at it long and hard.....in fact, many time I have talked myself out of the right decision and onto the wrong side simply because I looked at it too long. I am sure everyone has had that feeling, the longer you look at something the more unsure you are.

You need to look for advantages and then hop on those small edges and DO NOT think yourself broke.

Hopper, you know better than this. I do not respond to crappy one line sentences about `this game`and `that game`.

If I haven`t capped it, there is a reason there 99% of the time. SO, come on the thread and do your best to make a point for one side or the other and I will respond accordingly (as much as time permits anyway).

I have posted again and again about this.....if anyone hasn`t read through the thread there is SOOOO much good info here from SOOO many different contributors, it is well worth your time to spend a few hours and go back from the start of the thread.....then you will always be on point. Once you have done that I guarantee you will have learned a few things....I know I have!

It's usually only a problem for us Canadians, ctrl+shift enables french grammatical symbols I believe.

lol I did this before too, It's the most self hating experience, the shitty thing is I tripled on the one I meant to take and my accidental 1 unit bet was the right side, boy did that suck!

Quick update, tennis is done for the day. Unfortunately Monfils decided to make sure a Franchman made the semi's in Nice and took Robin Haase apart, that accounted for two of our losses.

Hopefully this rain delay in Pirate-Town doesn't affect this game....it should only speed it up once they get back on the field, these Cubs wanna get home!!

Ok, the perfect first inning...you may be able to get the O-U at somewhere around 8.5 or 9....and if you can (I cannot) hop on it!

I know some of you missed on the 7.5 o/u before the game, but i KNOW some of you managed to get the live line at 8.5 and in fact, one lucky guy got it at 10.....so congrats to all of those that managed to grab that. I don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but that was going under 8/10 and in fact I should have gone bigger on it than I went on the Pitts win (although both worked great). If I had been able to bet it live I would have been ALL over it.




2-0 start in MLB after a beautiful morning....heck even last night was a good night. Yes, yesterday am was a set back, but I hope you have all figured out that days like that are part of the process. If you go back just 7 short days we are up almost $3500, even INCLUDING that crappy morning.

Going to bring the dogs to Buntzen Lake for the next few hours....so I will be missing the start of all of the games. There may be one or two more plays before I leave, so keep your head up!!

Glad I avoided the NHL as I would have gone Boston and the Hawks....but neither lean was strong enough, so I took my first NHL break in a long time....still looking at the Kings game for a small play, more for entertainment than anything....

One more.....as you probabky know I already have Spurs +5 for $100, so this is being added to that wager. Also, the ML at +205 is WAY TOO HIGH. I am not going to go big on it because that is not the way I do things, but I also couldn't sit and look at +205 without putting something on it.

All the Spurs need is 1 win in every 3 games and you are PROFITABLE! There is NO WAY they don't win more than 1/3 if you play this game 100 times....
