When the superbowl came to jerryworld, the city of dallas didnt have enough $ to clean graffiti around the city. Guess who stepped in and paid for it... Cuban. Dallas has an annual St. Patty's day parade that was $40,000 short of funding last year and was about to be canceled, but guess who footed the bill... Cuban. One you won't hear about, a year ago a girl in Dallas got raped and left on the corner by a group of guys and when Cuban heard about it, he put up either $10k or $25k (can't remember off the top of my head) as a reward for information. I'm not a huge Mavs fan and I can understand why some people find him annoying, but being a Dallas native I appreciate the philanthropy he shows to the city. I don't have an objective opinion of Mark Cuban, because I know the true founder of the company that made him rich. Cuban was an investor when he was pitched the idea of a 3 year old company. Similar to Shark Tank. They worked together for awhile, but he wasn't as business savvy. He was bullied, his shares were diluted, and he was written out of the history of the company. Cuban should get a lot of credit for broadcast.com's development. But the true founder only walked away with roughly 1% of the company.(~$50million)Comment -
