Heat will rest players the rest of the season
They really overextended during this streak with a 12+ game lead on the second best team in the east.

I would give bosh James and wade some time off, then start them back up with with 5 games left

I could see the losing more than they win the remainder of the regular season.

1 win away from clinching home court in the east.

I don't think they will try for overall homecourt even though they have a 2 game lead on the spurs. So I can see players resting.

Lines will be sharp so I dont know if you can just fade them. Watch how they play the next game then see.

You can view overall home court as a disadvantage with the stupid 2-3-2, so I doubt they care

Heat didn't have homecourt in the finals last year. That really shouldn't come into play. Rest and health should supersede overall best record. Plus last night's game showed playoff intensity, and no need in the big three taking that kind of physical abuse in another regular season game.

Wade looked knicked up towards the end of that Bulls game. I could see the guys who nutted up for "The Streak" start to feel those aches and pains, where before they played through it.

Wade missed the past few games before last nights' nickfest.

Wade went down hard and seemed to hurt his left arm in the Det. game and then missed 2 games they haven't talked about it but he missed those 2 games right after that ( reason given was knee issue but I'm not so sure or maybe both)

you dont take time off heading into the playoffs. maybe a game here or there. and never all of them at the same time. gotta stay sharp. too many good teams at the top. Why mess with greatness? sure, a breather could be nice late, but you wont see them lose 50% just because they can, that cant be good for the psyche.

The way I'm reading it, Spurs game may be last game this season where all Miami regulars play. I guess Heat are pissed about almost losing to the Spurs backups.

The question is still will Lebron play tonight? Line is clearly too low if he plays and a bit high if he doesn't (all of this assumes wade plays as is probable).

If any of the heat starters, especially lebron plays limited minutes, with no incentive to win, will truly make for some good betting.

You're tellin me. I'm currently debating on going large on Lebron player prop for under 40.5 points/rebounds/assists. But I'm really trying to find out what his status is. Thing is, I fear Spo will give more rest to other starters and give Lebron normal minutes. I dunno, it'd be nice to get to the bottom of this.

I wonder what's his reason to play them though. There's no chance they lose the #1 seed in East. Perhaps coach wants the team to play 1 more solid team before resting, but even then, I think with no real incentive to win, Spurs should run over Miami.

They will have to play, but more than likely Spo will challenge them to put this game away early so they can rest by the 4th quarter. They have been getting off to bad starts during this streak, this a chance to fix this problem. Heat do not want to lose this game, then potentially lose on Sunday at San Antonio which is possible. That is 3 game losing skid, not good for a team that has some things it still needs to work out before the playoffs. Getting homecourt over San Antonio is also at stake. Only 3 losses at home all season...homecourt would be a huge advantage for them.
