- Slam dunks are worth three points (up from two)


- Field goals in the final three minutes of the game are worth eight points (up from two)


- Three-pointers are worth four if the ball doesn't touch the rim


- A point is deducted for missed free throws




I think the missing a free throw would make things very interesting. Everything else would just make the game even longer. Reviewing every 3 pointer and imagine the number of fouls in last 3 minutes avoiding 8 points and the possibility of 1 or minus points.

Just think, your down 10 and Howards in. Foul him, misses both. Only down 8. After 5-6 possessions you could have the lead from his misses alone.
