Ranked dog theory.... In matchups this year that involved a ranked dog on the road at an unranked (and potentially hot) favorite - a VAST majority of the time the unranked fav won SU at home, while covering the spread a high portion of the time. Villanova is still playing for their spot in the dance, and they are particularly hot right now.

If I had to bet, I'd say Nova ML is the smart play.

1st off, it's not Senior Night since they are playing at The Wells Fargo Center (off campus). Senior night game was against Marquette.

This is Nova's tourney game right here. I'd be surprised if they didn't come up big tonight but with that being said, I'll be laying off this one.

Nova fan here, and you're correct the refs played a big part, but Nova shoots more FT's than any team in the country so nothing new on there part. They just wanted it more. GTown didn't play hard enough.

How did refs play big part in this game? Nova drove to basket more so of course more fouls were called against G-Town. Nova played great D creating a lot of outside shots.

Gtown played crappy in minute 1 all the way through minute 40. Didn't deserve to win. I wonder did nova let them cut down the nets since they have a share on the conference lead headed into the weekend.

Theory holds true again. Villanova and Iowa State both take down ranked dogs last night.
