There are worst names currently in the NBA than Pelicans. Lakers, Jazz, Grizzlies, Suns, Heat, Pistons, Raptors, Wizards..are all wtf names.

The Lakers, Jazz and Grizzlies are the worst. Not only are they terrible names, but they have no historical or geographic meaning to the city in which they currently play. Not sure why these franchises never changes names when they packed their bags.

WTF Pistons?? Detroit... motor city... Pistons. Makes perfect sense! Not a huge fan of the Pelicans be nice if they could buy Utah's name it would make more sense anyway.
