so wait now they have BJ and Justin????

stupid. they have way to many exact type of players. pure power but strike out way to much. Heyward, Uggla, Freeman, BJ, Justin, MCANN,

and they just traded away the one guy in their line up that consistently makes contact and drives runners in, in Prado...they won't have one player in that line up with over 80 RBIs.

they'll strand the most RISP than any other team in baseball.

I'll gladly take Prado but was hoping for a pitching improvement. Upton's numbers in Atlanta won't be near the same before he got disgruntled. Good luck to him.

I like the Dbacks side of this deal, a lot.

Adding a guy like Prado who was voted 9th and 20th for MVP twice already, plus the fact that he can damn near play any position.

Hell, he is better at 2nd base, but he is still a + defender at 3rd. Crazy.

Very exciting outfield. Speed, power, youth! All starters under 30 years old! Braves win 100 games this season easily.

It's an upgrade of the outfield we had last year. Reminds of the 1995 Braves outfield with Justice, Grissom and Deveraux! Last time Braves won a World Series we had a black outfield.

It's because they really needed fielding help, aside from SS (which they can easily trade one of them for MLB talent right now). They're deep on outfield talent. Hell, they had to sit Parra who was a stud for them the year before.

Trade worked out well for both teams. Glad to see it, as I swore Dbacks were going to get fleeced shopping Upton.

I know youre a huge braves fan and so am I but jesus look at this a little more realistically. Prado was by far the most consistent hitter on the team and his loss is huge. We got justin but which justin are we getting, plus bj only likes to play half a season(he either struggles first half or second half or both). BJ strikes out just as much as uggla. Is there potential there? Yes. Is it going to happen? Probably not. Too many whats if on this team. If they had kept prado I would of been alot more excited about this deal but this was the only way they could get him without giving up simmons apparently.

Braves are a better team. Justin 25 years old and about to peak. Defensively it's not even close

If the Braves pitching is good they will be competetive again, but days the 3 Run HR doesn't happen it could be a real struggle with such a deep lineup with huge upside that is very prone to K's. Not alot of solid contact in this lineup. I do however like the trade for the Braves because they didn't want to break the bank or pay what Prado is going to be worth on the open market. Braves are adverse to paying guys multi year contracts north of 30 yrs old, which prado will be in 2014 with a new contract. They turned a 1 year asset into a 3 year asset basically with Upton. I also like the trade for the Braves in respect that it is bold and shakes things up. It might not make them better, hell they could be worse, but the status quo was not working either. If all guys come together this team could be a real nightmare for the rest of MLB becase the pitching is there and the bullpen is boss. A lineup full of 20-30 HR guys, that do strikeout alot, but... Sometimes they go off. That lineup will be exposed in the playoffs if they make it.
