#37EXACTLY, this seasons roster isnt a bunch of dog shit you know. Like I said without him on the floor THIS team would have a winning record, I would lay -150 on it. Obviously cant, but if he goes down and this team suddenly rattles off wins like they did late last year when he wasnt around it would lend credence to it.
You mean to tell me that Gasol, Artest, Nash, and Howard with any stiff of the street as their 5th starter shouldnt have a winning record? With the trash teams the Lakers have played so far?
How about just last year? What was Lakers record without him?
Lakers this season:
Offensive pts per 100 possessions with Kobe on the floor: 113.5
Offensive pts per 100 possessions without Kobe on the floor: 100.5
Defensive pts per 100 possessions with Kobe on the floor: 106.3
Defensive pts per 100 possessions without Kobe on the floor: 112.5
Net pts per 100 possessions with Kobe on the floor: +7.2
Net pts per 100 possessions without Kobe on the floor: -11.9
Net pts with Kobe on the floor: +146
Net pts without Kobe on the floor: -79
There are two parts to a basketball game. offense & defense. The above facts suggest that the Lakers are a better team both offensively & defensively when Kobe Bryant is on the floor rather than off of it.
These are definitive facts. They can't be argued. If you would be willing to bet & lay -150 that the Lakers would have a better record this year without Kobe you are either:

(B) The worst better I have ever come across in my lifetime

#38Your logic is flawed. You need an entire season (or possibly longer) to come to this conclusion not a 7 game sample size @ the end of a season when there are multiple variables in play to effect that tiny sample size.
Didn't the Heat win a game last yr that both LeBron James & DWade sat out? According to your logic the Heat obviously would have had a bettter record if LeBron & Wade sat the entire season out.
This yr didn't the Spurs lead wire to wire vs the World Champion Heat only to lose @ the last second eventhough T. Parker, M. Ginobilli, T. Duncan, D. Green, S. Jackson & K. Leonard all sat out?? Are you suggesting the Spurs are a better team w/o them?? That's what your logic is saying.
Would you like countless other examples of when a teams star sat out yet their team won??Comment -

Unless he suffers a dramatic injury we wont ever know for certain. I just know that he has never ever made anyone better, and when you look at the guys the Clippers have, whom Kobe played with for more than a couple seasons theyre all much much better on the Clippers. Not to mention the other guys who have come and gone from the lakers. Hell Matt Barnes, Ronny Turiaff look like frigging all stars compared to when they plated for the lakers. #42Im not a Lakers fan (and I have very much enjoyed watching there predictable demise this season), but what I cant understand is why everyone keeps trying to blame the players, when the problem is with who ever decided to bring in Mike D. You have one of the oldest rosters in the NBA, and you are trying to implement a run and gun offense? This reminds me of the 2003 Oakland Raiders squad. Old as fack, as soon as Gannon got injured, season was over. Much like as soon as Nash got injured (the only guy familiar with this type of system), the Lakers got themselves in too big of a hole. End of the day, Lakers may or may not get the 7th/8th seed, but either way, Lakers are not winning a championship this year (or next year) with this squad. Time to start moving pieces and looking to next year.Comment -

only made 16..
outshot rest of starters combined.that should never happen in a professional game. ever.
that should only happen when a Donald Trump's son pays people to play with him.
They came back and won that game, because D'Antoni sat Kobe down for 5 minutes.. in the 4th. Qtr.
and in that 5 minute window, the Lakers magically almost erased 14 pt. deficit that was hanging over their heads for most of the game.
When he was out people came alive. When he is in playing Kobe-Ball,
nobody gets in a groove because they don't feel like a major contributor.
Kobe is the only one allowed to get warmed up.And he runs the show..
anybody can get traded or fired, when he just says the word, so people just stay quiet.

It is not your fault, it's no ones fault really. It is just 'life', and those are the cards some of us (you in this case) are dealt.
This Laker thing is dead currently, and will be dead for many, many years to come. There is nothing to do about it anymore.
Do you know how many players could be leading the league in scoring with that many shot attempts..
Kobe leads the league by a huuge clip (Shot Attempts), next guy is Westbrook (over 140 less).. and people get on him for shooting too much!!*Kobe is not great, he is flashy.. he always seems to have the energy for a spin-reverse-dunk, yet never to simply pass the ball to the open guy for the MORE open look shot/layup.
Lakers are bottom four team in Assists. Impossible to win without great ball distribution. The entire key to beating people is to keep the defense guessing.. how can you stop a team from scoring when you don't know what is coming or which of 2-3 guys will shoot?
With a Kobe team, it is all but answered. Lakers will:
A) make the playoffs and are OUT in 1st Round,
B) or do NOT make the playoffs at all.
those are your two choices this year. Choose wisely.
… and until you are in 2nd place in your Division, you should really shut the f\*\*k up.*

Do you know that Kobe is shooting 48% right now?? Do you have a clue?? There isn't one single team in the league.....not one that wouldn't accept their shooting guard leading the league in shots taken if they were told he was going to shoot 48%....Do you understand this or are you just trying to be xtra clueless today?? Let's repeat that....NOT ONE!!
Would you like Kobe to pass the ball more?? Do you even realize that he has led the Lakers in assist for 6 strait seasons?? Do you realize he is 2nd on the team this yr?? Do you realize that he is currently 3rd leading shooting guard in assist this yr & has reguarly led all shooting guards in assist for 15+ seasons?? That's not good enough for you?? You hold him in such high regard that you actually expect him to lead the league in assist or what??
And btw....another lesson for you so you might think twice before embarrassing yourself w/ a lack of knowledge for the game. When determining who leads the league in scoring they use avg not total points. He doesn't lead Westbrook by over 140 he leads by 102.....get a clue mmkay??
We're not talking about whether the Lakers make the playoffs or win the championship we are talking about whether they are better w/ kobe on the bench. You & Wanti are so jealous of the Lakers & Kobe's success that you actually say so <------lol....Do you have any idea how silly you make yourself look by saying stupid shit like that?? You're right....30.3p/5.4r/4.7a...48%fg 85%ft 1.5 steals should be on the bench
You couldn't possibly be any more clueless. Even if the Lakers did miss the playoffs & disappear for six years it was worth every second of it FIVE championships in 13 seasons. Bet you would trade 6 lost seasons for FIVE championships for your team huh??
And just to prove your lack of knowledge for the game even more you said "Lakers are bottom four team in Assists. Impossible to win without great ball distribution" Really?? The Lakers actually averaged fewer assist when they WON THE CHAMPIONSHIP in 09/10 you fukkin dumbazz.

the fact is that Shaq won the first three of the Kobe 5, (all of the Finals MVP went to Shaq)
and the last two were really won by Gasol, with tremendous contributions from Derek Fisher, Kobe needs a super dominant big man that grabs every rebound and shoots over 50% to get anything done it seems.
Kobe is potentially a great player that is mostly flashy.. Magic's Lakers, Bird's Celtics and Jordan's Bulls would kill the Kobe led Lakers..
his main concern is emerging with the most points and getting full credit for the win, not winning the game itself. If they lose, his chief concern is assigning blame away from himself.
"big boy pants" true leaders don't lead as such.
1) it would be impossible for the Lakers to compete seriously for a Championship without another notable scoring talent.
2) .. and it is impossible for them to acquire one with Kobe taking 35% of all shots.
an All-Star starting center that is shooting .563 FG% is averaging less than 11 Shots?
Shaq averaged over 19 FGAs/game in their 3 yr. run from 2000-'02

Since we cannot remotely agree on Kobe or the Lakers..
even though i am cleeearly right (see NBA Standings),
