My granny started taking me to the track (Santa Anita) when I was 8. She'd give me $20 and any winnings I was allowed to pocket, increase bet size, and/or start betting some exotics. My Grandpa would bring home the racing form and "racing digest" the night before and he taught me how to read them. Good times. Granny is now 94 and we laugh about it.
