No surprise but in SF fashion overpaid an gave him 1 too many years. Would have much rather seen 3/27.
SF - where we buy high and sell low but still win titles because our scouts are a bunch of god damn sexy bastards who only pick winners.

His age has nothing to do with his stellar eye at the plate.

giants had no choice but to give him that deal...phillies, dodgers, red sox were all bidding for him. He was huge part of our offense and I am happy that he is back.
scutaro on the other hand is a different case as he is very old...lets see how it goes...looks like he might be headed to yankees.

Not at all surprised...I knew they were bringing him back. This team is such a cash cow now that we shouldn't have to worry about $ spent. Problem is they have an investor team of 30+ and every decision has to go through them. That's why Newcomb got ousted for not running business decisions through the team.
Just not enamored with a .320-.335 OBP guy in the leadoff spot. He's so hot and cold...as Pagan goes so goes the Giants. Just in for a few brutal months when Pagan is a sub .300 on base guy. But living the high life when he's hot and getting on at a .400 clip (much like Blanco did for a month). Would much rather have someone else leading off and have Pagan driving in runs from the 6 hole. But overall I'm happy with the signing. Anything to keep them away from even thinking about Josh Hamilton is a +.

Great news! I kinda figured we would resign him since he was signing autographs at the Macy's downtown in Union Square.......
