A non-ranked team makes it to the BCS, a MAC team makes it as well. This has to be the highest combined ranking of the BCS bowl teams ever. The system is messed up. Just make a 16 team playoff already. All of the other divisions seem to handle it just fine, and do away with all of this foolishness. These other divisions are not traveling anywhere near as much as the D1 schools, nor practicing as much, etc. They need more than 4, but 8 teams is tough, and 16 teams is absolutely impossible for D1 football unless they had an 8 game regular season, and no one is agreeing to that.Comment -

teams play 13 games as it is (14 in a conference championship)...not too long ago they played 11 games but money rules so they added a couple games....go back to 11 games and it works to have an 8 game playoff without adding one extra game...the problem is that this only works for 8 teams out of just over 100...all the other teams just lose games

Why can't Louisville play NIU? Title it the "We Don't Belong Bowl" or the "No one Cares Bowl", or something like that. Like when they used to make Boise St. play TCU in the BCS. Since they both technically have to be there, put them against each other and save the other games. One of these bowls needed to take one for the team.Comment -
