I think the pluses out way the minuses when it comes to late night at the grocery store. All those empty spots up front are for handicap people. I think after 10:00PM it should be fair game since the customers in the store is rarely over 10 and there are at least that many handicap spots.

2] Don't have to stand in checkout lane
3] Get good parking spot

Minuses
1] Can't get stuff from deli
2] The Mexicans clean the floor and block off whole aisles
3] Employees stock shelves so there is shit every where
4] Some times they run out of shit you like for example cheese wedges and meat sticks

Yea the late night trip is a gamble. Sometimes you can't find the cashier and it takes you longer to check out than it did to run around and get a few items. I find that around 10 to 11pm work well. Not many people there and the cashiers are usually available.

Depends where you live. If it's densely populated, lots of other people are thinking the same thing (go late to avoid the crowds, which creates a crowd).....It would help if they kept more checkout lanes open.
