Well, you are required to fill out your taxes no matter how much you win.

To answer your real question; I believe if you hit for $10,000 at a sportsbook -- the sportsbook requires you to fill out a form to be sent directly to the IRS.

Yes, bet under $10,000. When you win, you can deposit is slowly into your bank account and never be under suspicion. If you want to bet over $10,000, spread it over multiple casinos. IRS can go f#ck themselves. Let them worry about bigger fish.

and when that happens, just collect all the losing tickets lying around on the kiosk until you get enough to offset your irs reported winner. keep them for your accountant at the end of the year to washout your reported winnings. there are several ways to skin a cat.

I thought the amount would be much lower than 10k, that is great though for the big players.

5k gets you tracked. anything over 10k gets a ctrc-n filed on you. taxes are between you and irs. casinos just fill out paperwork and could give 2 shits whether you file or not.
