Will Adrian Peterson break Eric Dickerson 2,105 rushing record
With 7 games left, he needs to average 142 yards a game. He plays the Packers twice, I can see him getting over 300 yards in those two games. Playing the Bears twice, and Houston once should be interesting. I can also see him going off on the Rams in a dome for 150.

Interestingly in this pass happy league, both Lynch and Peterson has a chance to crack the 2,000 yard mark.

The Vikings have 6 games left. They are on BYE this week. So he needs to average about 163 a game.

With that being said, I really don't think he will be able to make it. Still has two games against the Bears, and a game against the Texans.

Even cracking 2000 looks like a long shot, but hey, he's silenced the haters so far!

Only if his team secures a 1st round bye. Terrell Davis got MVP in 1999, but that was because the Broncos clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

He's right up their with Walter Payton and Barry Sanders. Definitely the top 3 best running back ever. And this guy doing this despite of breaking his knees twice, unreal.

AP is no where near top 3 ever if he retired today. Is he on track for top 3? sure, yeah. Is he better than Tomlinson if he retired today? No way

Huge AP fan, even more so after having him on my fantasy team for a few years. A few threads about him and people comparing him to other RBs, still haven't seen a single mention of Jim Brown. His 58 and 63 seasons embarrass anything today.

I don't think it's gonna happen, but I wouldn't be surprised. This guy is a freak of nature. The way he came back from his injury is unbelievable. He's the next best RB after Barry Sanders. Just check out the similarities through the first five seasons...GOAT!

I thought the Vikings were stupid to bring him back so quickly, and Adrian proved me wrong. Good for him, I'm rooting for him.

But I don't think he can make it to this amount of yard this year.

no chance they are going to be playing from behind every game and he needs too many yards anyway

Doesn't even look close. Bears and Texans are #3 and #4 in rushing yards allowed. GB and STL are in the top half.

It depends if he can stay healthy for the rest of the season first. They do play Green Bay twice and they have no defense and Chicago twice which has an excellent defense. I think he has a shot but it will be hard with those Chicago games and St Louis Rams coming up which has a good defense.
