    If Jimmer Fredette would have gay bashed like Kobe,Utah would have gone on trial.

    Sure,Bryant has to pay a 100 grand fine but the mainstream news media didn't even pick up on it and the ESPN sports media did a wink,wink snicker report that it was no big deal.If a mormon like Fredette who is a sort of face of the mormon church and Utah right now said the same thing Kobe did,the media would be up in arms.

    Ever notice how the government witch hunts in Utah for polygamists who hide up in the mountains where some 70 year old geezer marries 7 women in their 20's.Hell,why not go after NBA players who father 10 kids out of wedlock and never see the woman again after they do the deed with them who live smack dab in the biggest cities?

    Jimmer would be kicked out of school, supposedly. But the difference is, Jimmer signed something saying he would not swear along with a bunch of other stuff, Kobe didn't. Even though they have the player conduct, they can't take away his freedom of speech (no matter how much Stern wants to), and he is too big a star at too important of a time in the season to do anything else to that would be fair.

    It seems a little crazy that everyone is now lip reading to create a stir. I could care less what an athlete's opinion is on what 3% of the population is doing. If he had said, "friggin moron" no one would have thought anything about this and there are way more morons to be offended.
