A bad day for the books really isn't a big deal. Operators don't like it but they know it will happen from time to time.

This is like when the Casinos gets hit with a few big winners in the day. Doesn't matter they get it all back and a ton given back to them. It's going to happen some times.

From where I checked:
68% on buffalo, lost
69% on colts, won
87% on pack, won
82% on cowboys, won
81% on saints, won
66% on pats, lost
68% on raiders, lost
70% on steelers, won
Wouldn't call 5-3 "buried", but, the public won the largest lopsided games to be fair.
Besides, the public has been absolutely destroyed this season prior to this week.

Lot of games were split anyway, ari/min, bal/hou, was/nyg
So a few fave's won big deal.

Maybe % wise but there was actually a lot of money on the Rams, Bucs, etc.
If they were so scared to take action on all those favorites, why did they not move the lines or make them bigger to begin with?

Books are never happy when they get beat up, however history will continue to repeat itself. Almost everybody eventually loses at gambling, people are very weak and undisciplined. Although few will admit to it, most gamblers put their short term ego needs ahead of long term success.

Yea, players were due to finally win some. Players did really well on exotics and college. The Giants and NE endings were great for players in general.

There were a few seasons where the books just kept losing to players for months. It's a streaky game. That's why it's important to stay with books that operate as a business and have been around a long time and didn't spend their September profits on sports cars and girls.
