the ones around here are almost all bartenders or have other jobs. can't really do anything on weekends cuz they're taking bets, but during the week the ones i know like to hang out at the casino and play poker.

seems silly that they are on the right side of the juice all weekend but on the wrong side during the week, but a lot of bookmakers are gamblers at heart

grind what out? most bookmakers nowadays have a pph site so they dont have to sit around and take calls anymore. they can go on vactions, hang out all day, basically do whatever the hell they want as long as they are around on square up day who really cares?

I know several in the Midwest. One just retired leaving the business with his son and bought a million dollar house. Another one I know buys up alot of businesses.

Most of the ones I know play alot of golf and save/reinvest what they make. They occassionally bet a little on the golf course and cards. They may not be the sharpest bettors in the world, but tend to be smart enough when it comes to who to avoid taking bets from or playing poker. Old school bookies, regardless of their backing or limits, tend to bar you faster than offshore.
