nah, youth football is very big in the hood. bigger than HS actually, because a big percentage of great natural hood rat athletes only make it to 8th grade graduation before dropping out and ganging in.

and not a great percentage of those that go Neutron and avoid gangs, make the grades or have the discipline to actually be on a team that has twice a day workouts before school even starts and then every school day for a 2-3 months.

these youth league coaches mostly don't need any credentials or status other than being volunteers. Many of them coach drunk or high and make these games all about them.

I officiate football and baseball from little league, pop warner, to high school to some college to some small pro stuff... I have never had anything happen even close to this and never will

The way you represent yourself in appearance, attitude and the way you appear to be in correct positions and into the game prevents bullshit like this...

$50 sounds right. High School soccer down in this area gets you $45 roughly a game plus mileage. Couple grand on the side to make with all the tournaments in january and february.
