I agree value is on Baltimore, but the Yankees are just too damned disciplined at the dish for me to wager against them. Honestly, if you're going to go upset in a series I'd much rather go Oakland over Detroit. I realize that Verlander twice in a five-game series is a tough road to hoe, but the Tigers' bats can go quiet at any time. They have 2 truly good hitters in their lineup. The Yankees have 7.
Their lineup is literally insane. When Ichiro Suzuki is a goddamned platoon player that is frightening.
I understand that Baltimore has a deep and young rotation (both starting and relief) and that Buck is the man. I love them - but I just think the Yankees are too experienced, too good, and the fact that they lost in ALDS round last year probably means they'll make it to the WS this year.
