BetOnline was pretty much fine, a better than average book, been around for a long time, and despite some stuff in individuals past it's a really experienced team. They had issues in the past such as website was really slow, a couple times lines were voided or they misunderstood props, but beyond the website being frustrating it was minor stuff. I mean occasional complaints come in about every book. Such as TheGreek complaints on a football (soccer) match - blah, blah, no big deal these things get resolved etc. etc. etc.
BetOnline became far more problematic after Black Friday / Blue Monday a period where several gambling sites had domains seized and cash either seized either direct or via processors. What they did is while every other site was weak and unsure... they went all out making a massive push. They increased marketing spend a ton. They added a poker room, upgraded their betting software, began offering bets on far more markets, started opening lines earlier they were going completely pedal to the medal on with making a massive run.
This created a lot of problems. It appears they were not trained nor prepared for the poker issues. Also SBR dispute handlers hadn't a lot of experience with covering poker issues prior, suddenly they have a surge of them. In some cases I feel BetOnline (and in some cases SBR too) were well outside the norm of what's commonly accepted fair resolution/handling that had been debated and formulated over years as to what fair policy in specific matter.
What I mean by this is if you see facts of a sportsbook complaint posted on sports betting - most are generally able to gauge if this is exactly as stated Justin would rule this way. It's almost like case law, it's consistent and can refer back to past disputes. However, we're looking at them saying wow, every other poker site would of done Y and BetOnline did X and SBR either just says BetOnline is doing X or maybe even suggest Z. So this creates a lot more longer threads and debates. Players funds are frozen there's all sorts of issues on that so tons of posts. Who knowns maybe something slipped through the cracks here (I think it would be perhaps beyond reason to think no player was harmed at least a little in that ordeal) but the ones that made it here worked out well enough sometimes not quickly, but ultimately did. In any case, poker proved to be quite a mess due to not being prepared. No longer hearing any issues there.
Further complications came from a major increase of support requests. It might be okay to say it would been easier talking to a programmed bot in some cases. Support was really poor and they could not train them in time. This increased BetOnline complaints of which many were ticky tacky.
There was some other stuff with perhaps rogue staff, that led to a few isolated but extremely major issues.
All said and done BetOnline was making a run and pulled it off as well as really could be expected. It didn't feel like it at the time but looking back they did one hell of an impressive job. They also acquired sportsbetting.ag. They didn't pay out right away, but the did go back and address and right some past complaints. How much money site has, a lot of times it's not all sitting in a bank. yes it would be nice if it was in the basement vault. But in this industry it's often all over the place. Picking up Sportsbetting.ag might of caused some short term accessible cash hurdles that increased cash flow greatly in the long term.
But looking now most is resolved. They're promoted all over the web. They have strong rankings in Google for many terms. They have many reloading clients. There's no reason to really suspect they won't be fine. The improvements already are very easy to notice. Again I think you might be able to argue they are B- or B, but B+ is close enough and they are certainly on track to be a legit B+ And the difference between a B- and B+ is a subjective. Rating are opinions. Ultimately I think BetOnline is mostly fine. I personally wouldn't go to far out of my way to recommend them but do think they're fine and suspect will just keep improving.Comment -

#39JJ buried this book for weeks and all of a sudden does a 360 on BOL.
"Stay far away".
"Awful book"
Etc.
I'll make it simple for you people:
Was a shit book and still is a shit book.
Too many other good options to bother playing at this place and having to worry about getting paid in a timely fashion.
Actually, I believe you meant to say JJ did a 180, not a 360, as a 360 would put him in the same place he was prior to his pirouette.
You're in good company though, as I've heard that mistake made countless times from African American athletes being interviewed.Comment -

#44What a bunch of shit you're spouting! I'll wait for the cliffnotes for Prop's last post--fell asleep after the first five paragraphs. As far as your opinion is concerned, it's bought and paid for. Walker probably told you to STFU about the BOL bashing you were doing. Always go with your first instinct JJ, BOL is a horrible Book--you had it right the first time.
SBR really does only care about the checks coming in from the books, what a joke.
The funniest part is seeing SBR employees like Bill Dozer going out of his way to defend BOL despite all the negative reports from posters on here... It's quite sad and pathetic to be honestComment -

It totally sucks Payton. Not only do people have to wait months to receive THEIR money, then we have to listen to Dozier and Lou come on here every day and stick up for these crooks.
All posters should start a thread and list all of the things that Dozier and Lou won't do for a buck, although that would probably be a very short list. Just pathetic!!Comment -
