SBR Poker Players Championship leaderboard: Week One

I played in the 'newbies tournament' earlier today. Now when I tried to register for the 7pm points tourney it won't allow me.
I had no idea playing in the newbies tournament meant you can't play in your 1 regular tournament.
Who would bother playing the newbie if they knew that?

i really neglected the dsi and the raiders cup play at the begining of the year.At this time and for this new opportunity I m more focus and i expected this to whow .
the competion has incresed and it is very good for poker/

Best bet is to play O/8 if that is a game of yours; a lot faster way to rollover.

Sigh.. Just got SBR'd. 1300+ chips and small blind, blinds 50/100. I have k8. Everyone folds before me and I raise to 400, big blind calls.
Flop is kj7. I go all in. Opponent calls with j8. Turn comes jack. Hate poker!

Wow thought I'd be higher up than a 4 way tie for 23rd (550 points). Not bad I guess considering I couldn't play Friday, but the scores seem way too high. The last tourney 50th place only moved up about 300 every week pretty consistently. It's 450 after the first week which is a pretty significant difference.

The average will go down as the weeks go by, last series it took about 325 a week average to make the top 50.

This is telling you that many times is not about how well you play, but how lucky those guys get.
i would not worry too much as you are a top player and can easyly take a few torunaments

took a 3rd place today, and it shuld be fine for the week.
But here no one can rest, the competition is very tough, so ain going to be easy to make the first 50.
