spartans are a 2.5 point favorite over navy. shouldnt this line be higher? navy is awful. spartans have played some good football this year. line seems yummy to me... thoughts?

I think a big factor in this line being low is the fact that San Jose hasnt left the state of California this year and a cross country trip for a 3:30 afternoon game against a triple option team could prove to be problematic.

thats a valid point. they will be playing at 12:30pm their time, not like 9:00am or something. you figure the coach would get their internal clock ready to be pumped up by noon come game day. flying across the country and playing earlier than youre used to can definitely effect the team though...i locked in anticipating the line will go up.

Has San Jose St ever traveled this far before? I know as a Tennessee fan I've seen the Vols take it to Cal in Knoxville only to get it handed back to them next year in Berkley. There is a reason the likes of the SEC enjoy having their out of conference competition come to them.

great input. ive capped this game 4 times now and each time the -2.5 looks like a gift. i locked in when i posted this thread on monday thinking the line would move up, but it hasnt. one book has it at -3, but its still -2.5 everywhere else. i never proclaim "locks" or "guarantees", but this of all the other games was the yummiest line to me. spartans average 35 pts per game, navy averages just over 19 pts a game and spartans have played a few quality teams, navy has played only 1 quality team and lost to a shitty penn st team by 4 TDs. spartans also have played 1 more game than navy.
