Been gone for a few hours. Just tuned in to the game, and needless to say, I'm very happy with the results so far.

Was thinking a lot about how this game would turn out. Sure enough, my logic has prevailed - at least up to the half.
2nd half pick, you ask?

Respectively, 2nd half stats for these teams indicate a TEN advantage. That would have been my lean. But since the 2nd half has now started, obviously no more picks tonight. Maybe that's a good thing.

Will be making picks on a few select games. Looking at some matchups right now, but I'll think them through before any decision is reached. By the way, I don't do simulations, power rankings, or other time-consuming bs. I don't want to mention any names, but some dude who contributes to this site said that he ran his "numbers" for the PIT/TEN game yesterday and came to this conclusion: pick the Steelers and go with the Under.

Got my eye on NYG/SF. The line opened at 3, now its at 6.5 in fav of the 49ers. Wow, huge movement! But aren't these the same Giants that beat the 49ers in last year's NFC Championship? In San Francisco no less? So are the 49ers all of sudden almost 7 points better than the Giants? The Niners may win, but by that much? Just because SF blew out Buffalo last week doesn't mean the same thing will happen to one of the other New York teams. Remember, this is a marquee game. And the football gods script these big games for ratings and entertainment, in that order. Most prognosticators on this site are already picking to SF cover, even at the higher line. If SF wins, it won't be by much. You heard it here first.

Grudge battle. Revenge. These are some of the things I'm hearing about this game. Talk about the hype. I'd rather talk about how the Giants beat the Niners last year. And how the Giants are one of the top rated passing teams in the NFL, while SF is at the bottom tier. Defensively, the Niners are admittedly awesome. And yes, they have scored a lot of points in their last two games - against relatively sub par teams though.

NYG is a different animal, and if the Giants were able to beat the 49ers in the Conference Championship game, they can do it again several months removed. Not saying the Giants will come off with a sure victory this go around, but they won't lose by more than 7 unless they suffer a monumental collapse. At least that's what I think. Done thinking.

OAK @ ATL
Like the Steelers, "curious" things happen when the Raiders take the field. I learned my lesson early on with this team and usually prefer to stay away. But this may be a trap game for ATL, as they may looking ahead to their Week 7 matchup against the Eagles. If I don't "Pix" a full gamer, I may "Pix" a 1st or 2nd halfer. Will wait and see.

Still deciding. Lines are sharp. But I can't resist the temptation of picking a primetime game.

In my opinion, I don't think this game is gonna go that high. May put in a small unit pick on the total.

Now at 9.5 in fav of ATL. Liking my chances with OAK, especially with the public betting trend 85% on ATL...cause ya know Vegas doesn't give away easy money. Haven't pulled the trigger on this one yet, but it be comin'. Anyone out there feel otherwise?

Calling it quits for tonight. Will probably not have a pick tomorrow either, but ya never know. If no MNF pick is issued, then this will be my first undefeated NFL weekend (Thursday - Sun) this season. Never had a 10-game winning streak in all the years I've been wagering on football. Special. Won't let it get to my head, though. Just want to keep winnin'.

Wow, did not expect that outcome yesterday. I'm sure many NFL aficionados didn't either. My lean was way off. Didn't channel anything from the football gods on this game beforehand, so I wasn't comfortable laying down $$$. In weeks past, I might have went ahead and picked a game like this anyway, but as soon as I stopped giving in to the temptation, my winning % has gone up.

On tonight's game, DEN/SD, I not feeling a side either. Gonna pass on a pick. I have a lean, of course, but I'm gonna refrain lest leading anyone astray. Next official pick being readied for TNF. Waiting to develop a "feel" based on betting trends, hype, and stats. Stay tuned.
