One could argue that the Ravens look like contenders this year. Jags? They look pretty bad. Feel sorry for Del Rio. They get bounced under the lights on Monday night and he's probably done in Jax. Team will play hard for him, but they will be relying on a winless Gabbert as a starter. Maurice Jones Drew will get his yards, but Raven D will be keying on him if Gabbert can't hit some passes. Raven D is the #1 Scoring Defense in NFL. Do you think they might get some shots to score against a rookie qb ? I gotta believe Lewis and his Boys are primed for some highlight footage and are chomping at the bit to intimidate a rookie qb with the nation watching on MNF.
Lots of pressure on Gabbert. Team averaging 13pts with him as starter. Why would anyone think he/team would trend higher, against this Defense ? Covered last week against Steelers , but out-stated bad. Jags 0-4 SU and 1-3 ATS with Gabbert
Ravens 10-5 ATS as favs on MNF. Jags 1-6 ATS dogs on MNF. Ravens 18-4 non division chalk, Jags ticket burning 3-7 ATS home dogs. I always thought the Ravens Defense excels in Bully Mode. If they get you down, its like blood in the water. I think they have a big night and will come in confident and aggressive. Flacco looked good passing last week and Rice will get his yards. Gabbert will struggle with the Blitz.
